The 2nd annual school-wide art contest has finally arrived to support and showcase the emerging young artists here at Woodside. In the coming weeks The Woodside World will be asking for submissions in the following categories: Visual Art, Photo, Film/Animation, Ceramics, and Music.
All submissions are due by April 13th, 2012 and the top 3 artists from each category will be announced and published in the April edition of the Woodside World magazine. A new addition is that there will be an overall artist, one who has the most outstanding piece out of all categories, who will win a bigger, better prize.
This year the winners will be chosen by the students of WHS. In each edition of the April magazine there will be an insert for each student to fill out. Here students can pick who they believe were the top 3 in each category and the overall artist.
The top 3 entires in each category will be featured in the May edition of Woodside World. The overall artist will be on the cover of the May edition, as well as having a feature inside. The top 3 winners will be given Century 21 movie passes.
For submission please include your first and last name, class grade, category and a title to world@woodsidehighschool.org. There is also a limit of one submission per artist. All submissions must be submitted digitally. Attach a colored picture, video, or audio file that showcases the work fully.
This is a great opportunity to showcase your work and share your art with the world, so don’t miss out!
