Out on the track, runners sprint around the football field, sucking wind as they struggle to continue. It isn’t the spring season yet, but for those athletes who are dedicated to being competitive this year in track and field, this is preseason conditioning that will pay off when they face other teams. And with the spring season looming around the corner, these runners need to get in shape fast.

As the basketball and soccer teams enter the home stretch of their season, the spring sports are looking forward to the beginning of what they hope will be a successful season. The spring is a season with a variety of sports: track and field, lacrosse, golf, swimming, and badminton, to name a few. For some, the spring season is time to buckle down and get to work, while for others, the spring season is a just a time to enjoy playing a fun sport with their friends. Interviews with the upcoming spring athletes shed light on what kind of teams they’ll have, as well as what their hopes are for the season.
