Woodside, San Mateo, and Sequoia’s softball teams tied for first place in their division last year, but due to preseason points, only San Mateo was allowed to go to CCS. This year, all three teams are fighting hard to achieve their spot in the tournament. Earlier in the season, Woodside faced San Mateo and were heartbroken when they lost 6-2. Last Wednesday, April 13, Woodside came out ready to fight. With the stands full, the Wildcats were able to outplay Sequoia and win 2-1. Woodside is now in second place behind San Mateo with Sequoia closely trailing. Woodside will face San Mateo again on April 29 and Sequoia on May 6. Congratulations to the team and good luck!
