This time of the year is rough. All teachers seem to work together to make sure you have a project or a test in every class on the same day. You may think you have no time to stay informed, and while this may be true, we all know that you aren’t going to remember whatever you are studying right now after you turn in the test or project. Maybe you’ll remember something about the news.

We haven’t had enough snow this winter, but in Seattle these snowboarders got way more snow than they wanted. The result was tragic for many, but two survived the avalanche and caught it on video.

Obama has gotten pretty clever during his three years in office. He is considering lowering the corporate tax rate to please more conservative Americans, but also getting rid of the loopholes in their tax code to please more liberal voters. This would result in corporations actually paying more taxes…. But all we will hear is that Obama lowered their tax rate.

How long do you have to be famous to have a book written about you? Clearly not very long. Jeremy Lin has only been playing for the Knicks since February 4th, but we don’t have long to wait until there is a book chronicling his entire life. Yay….

Sarah Palin is back! No, she’s not running for president: she is starting an acting career. But she’s not starting it very well. She has been nominated for worst actress, and the competition is rough. Also nominated is Kristen Stewart for her role in Twilight.

Get ready, you may have a new pet parrot. The parrots of Telegraph Hill have tired of this name and want to be called the parrots of suburbia. You can’t really blame them. The city has good public transportation and everything is very convenient, but it isn’t the most ideal place to raise a family.
