It has been weeks since Japan’s devastating 9.0 earthquake on March 11th. Unfortunately, there was an aftershock earthquake measuring 7.4 magnitude on Thursday, April 7th at 10:30 ET. Today, crews in Japan are still evacuating nearby towns because officials say that they may be in trouble due to the high levels of radiation. As a result, Japan has poured 12,000 tons of radioactive water into the sea. Japanese regulators also say that radioactive contamination has leaked into the Pacific, carried by ground water. Nothing for Americans to worry about–we just might be seeing three-eyed tuna soon.
